A perfectly formed boutique ladies shoe shop
We are a small but perfectly formed boutique ladies shoe shop located in the ancient part of Dronfield, near Sheffield and Chesterfield. Elegante has been a boutique style shoe shop (and up until recently a hairdressers) since the Mid 1970’s.
After 22 years of bringing specialist footwear and accessories to the ladies of Dronfield and surrounding area Pamela Thorpe agreed to sell the business to us. Keen to maintain the shop’s reputation for stocking footwear brands synonymous with quality and having traditional values of customer service is at our core.
Like many ladies, I shop here because we know the products are quite exclusive and the brands are fantastic. My intention is to gradually add to the, already impressive, range without compromising that.

With our previous experience in retail we have already introduced a new range of Systyle bags and we have more plans to expand the product range in the future but we must stress that nothing will change when it comes to the high levels of customer service that Pamela’s customers have become so accustomed to over the years.
Well-loved brands like Tamaris, Marco Tozzi, Riva and Lunar will still feature highly on our shelves but we intend to add fresh new lines appealing to different styles and trends.
Elegante is renowned for caring, personal service as well as high customer satisfaction and that will remain our focus.
THE TEAM
All the team pride themselves is providing a quality of service whilst in no way pressurising the customer into feeling obliged to make a purchase. As a small boutique we fully appreciate that we will not be able to provide everything for everyone on every occasion and pride ourselves in making our customers feel that however brief they have had a pleasant shopping experience.
I am originally from Dronfield and live on the south west of Sheffield with my husband Bob. I have previous experience working and managing in fashion outlets and Concessions in Sheffield, Hull and Manchester. Up to acquiring Elegante I worked as a Production Co-ordinator for a Dronfield based business. With the help of my small but perfectly formed team we will continue to provide a friendly and professional service to our customers whilst introducing some new and exciting styles and brands.
Janet has many years of retail experience working for a local florist for 15 years and latterly having worked for the previous owner for 3 years. Janet is an integral part of our team and works part time providing a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and knowledge of our customers both past and present.
Karly who works full time in the specialist health care industry is Steph’s daughter and helps out from time to time when available. Karly offers valuable insight into our newer styles and brands and offers an exemplary and friendly customer service and attitude when helping our customers.
